1200 ln/mm grating: H-alpha 6320-6920 Ang range
H-beta 4465-5075 Ang range

The capabilities of the B&C spectrograph + first-light CCD camera used at the highest dispersion (i.e. with the 1200 ln/mm grating for a 1.0 Ang/pix dispersion and 2.0 Ang resolution) are documented by spectra in the H-alpha and H-beta regions of CH Cyg (a V=9.0 mag AGB star heavily interacting with a white dwarf companion) and associated comparison spectra.

H-beta 6 min expt incl. 18 deg, 200 micron slit, 1998 Aug 25, UT 21:10
